novoflow CPH (Compact Potted Hollow Fibre Filter):

These modules are made of PVDF-hollow fibers with membranes of identical separating properties in- and outside of the fibers mounted in vessel of synthetic material. The hollow fibers are potted and sealed by a smooth process developed by novoflow. Potting materials applied are optimally adapted to feed and cleaning chemicals as well as operating temperatures.
Optimal Applications:
- Separation of low concentrated particles, colloids, micro organisms, viruses and macro molecules from industrial process waters and waste waters.
- Police filter
Advantages and Special Properties:
- Outstanding mechanical resistanc
- Chemical resistance (3.600.000 ppmh vs. free chlorine, 1000 ppmh vs. H2O2 )
- Double protection, long operating life and reduced cleaning requirements due to active membrane layers in and outside the hollow fibers.
- Low maintenance by secure sealing between raw and clean water phase due to potting of the fiber socket into the synthetic module tube. No O-rings or wearing seals are used.
- Large pressure range (including pre-pressures) up to 4 bars can be utilized for filtration.
- No chemically contaminated flushing waters are produced during operation.
- Space-saving modular design (2,1 m x 0,16 m modules); no additional headroom is needed due to radial assembly and disassembly
- Vertical positioning for optimal air cleaning
- Light modues (30 kg) can be mounted manually
Mode of Operation:
- Filtration is performed from the outside to the inside of the membrane fibers.
- Filtration phase: is fully automatic, quasi-continuous with cyclical back flushing.
- Air cleaning phase: Membranes are exposed in timing cycles to air cleaning. Contaminations collected after air cleaning and a flush of water are discharged via lateral openings.
- Chemical cleaning: After extended operating periods, a chemical cleaning step is needed to restore original filtration performance.
